December Daily Day 17

Today should have been called Santaday intstead of Saturday! We slept in until almost 9! Hurried and went to the ward Christmas breakfast with Santa. I didn't really think Adi would want to see Santa since we already did this week, but she did! She is so funny. She gets it in her head every year that she is supposed to ask Santa for what she wants, then he will give it to her right then. Briggs does not like him. At all.

I spent the rest of the day (literally) working on Primary stuff. Busy time of year :) until we went to Riverwoods (again) with Adam's whole family. This idea was really promising. Everybody get together and go to dinner. Whoever wants to can go see Santa (again) and then go to provo beach resort for games etc... Too bad our kids were horrible. Well, they lasted ok till provo beach. Then, I would like to forget. Adi wanted to sit on Santa's lap AGAIN! I can't believe it. She must want to make sure that he really understands that she wants a strawberry shortcake itty bitty market! 

All the cousins that live here on Ado's side: Kyden, Taylor, Adison, Scout, Shae, Kamdyn, Jace, Briggs, Gage "hiding".

 

December Daily Day 16

Tonight Adam and I went to my friends party. It's really the only non family party we ever go to, but Alesha is Adam's cousin so technically it's family too. Anyway. We (the girls) try to get together once a month, but for Christmas we bring our hubbys. Tonight was seriously fun. We had a fancy dinner, white elephant gifts, and I laughed SO hard while playing the game. Thanks to Adam's parents who watched the kids. It was such a fun night out!

December Daily Day 15

Today Adison had her Christmas program at school. She was so excited. Both sets of grandparents were there, AND her daddy. She was quite hilarious. She yelled "hi grammy!" right after the first song. And was really excited to show cousin Eliza how good she could jump during one of the songs. Then during Rudolph she was supposed to do actions and one of them was touching her head. She took 30 seconds out of the beginning to try to tell me she needed to take her headband off. It was darling!

December Daily Day 14

Today was crazy. I had to work, so the kids went to my moms. We visited with grandma for a while after. The house is a wreck. Tried to clean up and had some friends over for dinner. 

Snapped this of Briggs this morning. He really wants to watch tv like the rest of us. Here he is trying to see Micky Mouse over the couch while eating some breakfast. Needs a haircut.

In other happenings Adison has been having a really hard time lately. And consequently so have I. Tonight while I was trying to fix dinner she was having a major meltdown. I had been asking her for 3 hours to go pick up her room. She was yelling and screaming. I asked her what she was going to do because our elf was in her room, and he was going to tell Santa what a mess it was. She looked at me and sighed and said, "well mom, I guess we just can't have Christmas then." What do I do with that? That's like the ultimate threat. This mom thing is so much harder than I thought...

December Daily Day 13

Finished up these little gems today for Adison's teachers. She was VERY excited to give her gifts to them. She really wanted them to open them in front of her, but she wouldn't ask. So after class I asked them to open them, and she got all embarassed. They are great teachers and they do SO much for those kids.

Note to self: If you make these in the future use the thicker yarn if you like the color. It goes SO much faster!

 

December Daily Day 12

Tonight we took the kids down to Riverwoods to see the lights and Santa. Adi was pretty hesitant to see the big man. We finally convinced her. She is already asking hard questions. She wanted to know if this was the real Santa, and why he was here. So now she tells everybody that we saw one of Santa's helpers there. Our camera battery died (oops) right before we got up to see him. The nice people in front of us offered to take a picture and email it to us. Sooo nice! Then we went and rode the carosel and got some hot chocolate. If you live around here I highly reccomend this Santa. It's fun, and FREE!

December Daily Day 11

Tonight we went over to my parent's house and spent some time with them and Grandma Stewart who is here visiting. Adi loves Grandma Stewart and was trying to show off. I feel so lucky they had some one on one time with her. It's so good to see her.

Reading to cutest little book that came with the dog. Adi looooved it!

She was so nice to play on the floor with Briggs. He loves to get in Grammy's toy basket. We'll be lucky if he doesn't break it by the end of this phase. :)

December Daily Day 10

Today was another long Saturday. I was home by 4 so Adam could go to Stake Conference Priesthood Meeting, then the adult session. But, in between those, he came home (we were gone) and tore apart our entire pantry. I've been complaining about needing another shelf in it forever. So, I came home to this... But, I was waaaay too tired to put it back together so we did it Sunday after church. Adi did help us so it was a good Sunday activity right?

Don't judge me. We got rid of soooo much crap. Since I've been wanting another shelf, I quit trying to keep it organized and clean. Bad idea. 

Adi with her finished "creation" she kept calling it. And the pretty organized done pantry. I know we are so exciting.

 

December Daily Day 9

Tonight we let Adi pick where she wanted to go eat (chic-fil-a) and then we took them to a Christmas Tree lot. They are all over the place. She is always asking to go to one. We were kind of the only people there. It was freezing, so we hurried. She was more interested in seeing the dog that lived there (yikes?) but luckily it had just gone "to the back". And we did something really really fun. We bought a little charlie brown tree!

She couldn't believe how many big trees there were!

Adam by the one we bought. Adison ticked because the dog left. Then with me smiling because I told her I would ask if she could go back and see it. 

 

December Daily Day 8

 My cute cousin Lara got married this day. We went to Riverwoods for her dinner. Adam was supposed to be in class, but got out early and came! I was sitting with him at the table, and said this feels like a date! Chelsie was like, uh it is a date. We hadn't been to Riverwoods yet at Christmas this year. It is beautiful all lit up. I think we'll be taking a trip back with the kiddos.
